If you could assign one song to be the "theme song" of To Kill a Mockingbird at this point in the novel, what would that song be, and why would you select it?
A theme song of "To Kill a Mockingbird", to me, would have to be Never Give In by Three Days Grace because the meaning of the song means to stand up for what you believe in and what you think is right and that's kind of what Scout does when she stands up for her dad.
I would choose the song Thriller by Michael Jackson because the book is eerie and a little crazy at times and so is Thriller. Also, both the song and the book are entertaining and interesting.
A song that I think should be the theme song of To Kill a Mockingbird would be Take on Me by Ah-Ha because Scout, Jem, and Atticus all stand up for each other. Society must also learn to accept the colored people. It is also just a really good song.
I would assign "Witchy Woman" by The Eagles because its a mysterious song and it reminds me of Boo and how she is mysterious just like the song. The story in the song doesn't exactly remind me of Boo because she isn't mean, but the feeling or mood in the song reminds me of this story because they're both mysterious and secretive
"Demons" by Imagine Dragons because it talks about a beast inside and it seems like Boo Radley has a beast inside. He is a demon who scares the neighborhood of Maycomb. Also the mad dog is like a demon because he is insane.
Wake Me Up by Avicci because this was a very difficult time to be a colored person, and they probably would've wished they lived in a different time period. Also, Scout and Jem had to be woken up when the fire started at Mrs. Maudie's house.
1.) The song that I feel best describes the theme of the book so far is "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey, because most of the events that come about are not of good consent. With the past misfortunes of a fire at Miss Maudie's house, Mrs. Dubose dying, and a rabid dog attacking the entire neighborhood, we can't exactly say that Maycomb has good luck!
If I had to choose a song to be the theme song of To Kill a Mockingbird I would choose Any Way You Want It, the reason I chose this song is because some people want scout to act like a lady some people in particular that want her to change is her aunt and Mrs. Dubose thought that she wasn't as well.
I would choose the song lean on me by Bill Withers. I chose this song because Jem and Scout count on each other and support each other through thick and thin. Their whole family sticks together.
I would choose Danger Zone by Michael Jackson for the theme song because it describes how their lives are full of danger, living next to the Radley Place (so they think).
i would choose Coming down by five finger death punch because this song is all about not being what everyone wants you to be and that's how I feel scout is.
If I had to choose a song to be the theme song of To Kill a Mockingbird it would be "Summertime Sadness" because it is during the summer and there have been sad recent events like the death of Mrs. Dubose and Miss Maudie's house going up in flames.
The song I would pick for the story so far would be "Oops I Did It Again" Brittany Spears. I picked this because Scout often gets in fights about Atticus's work, even after she was told not to.
I would choose the song Radioactive because I feel scout is trying to be her self and trying to show everybody how she feels. She is trying to stand up for her family and especially her dad. She hates when people say rumors about her or her dad, she tries to hold it in but then lets it out because she is sick of the name calling and being made fun of.
I had a bad day by Daniel Powder. I picked this song because there our a lot of up and down days in the story. Like when the neighbors house burnt down.
The song I choose is Bad Day by Daniel Powder because when Mrs. Dubose died and Jem and Scout realized that when she was having her spells while they were reading to her were signs of her sickness that caused her to die.
